Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 April 2026

These terms apply to your use of BillMate. By creating an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use BillMate.

1. What BillMate is

BillMate is a cloud billing / Point-of-Sale software for Indian retail shops. It includes a desktop POS app for the billing counter, a web admin panel for shop owners, and cloud synchronisation between them.

2. Subscription billing

3. Free trial

4. Refund policy

Contact support within 7 days of a charge if you feel you shouldn't have been billed — we'll review case-by-case. Used subscription periods (days you had active access) are not refundable.

5. Acceptable use

6. Data and unsynced bills

BillMate saves billing data locally on your device for speed and offline capability. Data syncs to our secure servers when internet is available. BillMate is not responsible for data stored only on local devices that is lost due to hardware failure, theft, or other device-level issues. We recommend maintaining internet connectivity during business hours so your bills sync promptly.

7. Limitation of liability

BillMate is provided "as is". We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee it. Our liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost sales during an outage, lost data on your device, etc.).

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes, we will notify you at least 14 days in advance via email / WhatsApp. Continued use after the change means you accept the new terms.
